Shelley Ann Frazer-Pryce of Jamaica has won the Women’s 100m Sprint event at the ongoing IAAF world championships in Doha.
Frazer-Pryce got of to a Bullet start from the blocks and lead all through the race that saw the Jamaican clinching Gold in a stunning 10.71sec with a clear 4 metre lead.
Dina Asher-Smith of Great Britain seperated from the rest of the pack in her blue and white gear; coming through in second place with a Personal best of 10.83sec and setting a national record in the process.
Marie-Jose Ta Lou was third for the bronze medal in 10.90sec in one of Athletics fastest races in history.
Ta Lou who won her semi final race was in high contention to win Gold in the IAAF star studded line-up, but could only manage third place, which was good enough for the bronze medal.
Champion Frazer-Pryce celebrated the spectacular moment with her 2year old on the fast track.
