Pastor Osagie Ize-Iyamu has won the APC Edo state primary, and just emerged the governorship candidate for the September 2020 election.
Imo state governor, Hope Uzodinma declared Ize-Iyamu winner of the direct primary election with a total of 27,838 votes to defeat Dr. Pius Odubu who scored 3,776 and Osaro Obazee who got 2,751 votes.
Chairman of the Primary election committee, Hope Uzodinma said the election was held in line with the guidelines of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).
Ize-Iyamu will now face other contenders in the September 19 governorship election in the Edo State.
