Mudashiru Obasa, the impeached Speaker of Lagos House of Assembly has declared that he has resumed his position as the head of the parliament.
Obasa made this remark while addressing the press after arriving at the Assembly complex.
In his words, “ I’ve resumed, and I remain the Speaker of the Assembly.” No one has dared to challenge or criticize the Agege legislator who has brought huge development to his constituency and uplifted the Lagos assembly with enviable laudable reforms. The assembly complex was completely reengineered under Oba’s as able leadership. He is also known as a disciplinarian and a listener.
Lagosians have in many instances taken to the assembly to seek redress on disputes preferring a credible institution like the assembly instead of the courts. This is a marked reform brought about by his administration.
