The Chairman and CEO of Jimez Petroleum Resources Limited, Hon. Chief Jim Okolo Chimezie, has been accredited as the Nigerian Team Lead for the upcoming U.S. presidential election.
He is among the selected international observers set to participate in the high-stakes election on November 6, 2024, where former President Donald Trump is aiming to unseat the incumbent Democratic government.
Hon. Okolo’s role as Team Lead for Nigeria’s delegation comes through his accreditation from the NGO Nouvelle Perspective, under the auspices of the United Nations.
His accreditation number is 16/US-2024. This appointment adds to his growing portfolio of global engagements centered around promoting democratic values and safeguarding the integrity of elections.
Recently, Hon. Okolo was also appointed Nigerian Team Lead of International Election Observers by the UN and the Swiss government. His dedication to ensuring credibility in electoral processes has been evident through his continuous efforts as an advocate for good governance.
In March, Hon. Okolo was appointed as an International Elections Diplomat by the United Nations after completing an intensive training at the University of Lome, Togo. This program, in collaboration with the UN and AU, certified him and other West African delegates as electoral experts.
As part of the mission, they received comprehensive training on electoral observation, legal frameworks, and electoral security.
Hon. Okolo’s journey in international diplomacy and election observation also includes being appointed a United Nations Mayor for World Peace late last year. Furthermore, the United States Latino America Chamber of Commerce (USLACC) appointed him as Nigeria’s Country Representative in a ceremony that acknowledged his commitment to fostering international relations.
Hon. Okolo’s expanding influence in global governance and electoral integrity continues to earn him recognition on the world stage.
