Monday Okpebholo has emerged winner of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Governorship primaries in Edo State.
He defeated 11 other aspirants in a re-run election polling 12,433 votes.
The first contest was declared inconclusive by the ruling party’s leadership, after three aspirants had been touted winner of a keenly contested primary elecrion
Senator Okpebholo was one of the three winners from last Saturday’s cancelled shadow poll.
It prompted the need for a re-run election.
The final results were announced in Benin by the newly appointed Chairman of the election committee, Bassey Otu, who is also the Governor of Cross River State
