President Bola Tinubu is expected to attend the second swearing-in ceremony of Imo state governor, Hope Uzodimma, which is set to take place on Monday, January 15, at the Dan Anyiam Stadium in Owerri.
The President, who will be accompanied by some officials and members of the National Assembly is expected to commission some projects in the state.
He will commission the redesigned Airport Road which has been dualised from two lanes to four lanes and has side lightening from Owerri-Aba Road to the Airport and brand new Twin Tollgate.
Political and Business heavyweights from Nigeria, will attend the event, with many prominent individuals already expressing interest.
Governor Uzodimma, who was declared the winner of the November 11th election by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), is set to be inaugurated following his victory in all 27 local government areas of the state.
The entire state is in a celebratory mood, and the capital city of Owerri is being prepared for the event.
Adequate security measures have also been put in place, and steps taken to manage the crowd.
The inauguration will be preceded by a thanksgiving mass and followed by a state banquet at the Government House in Owerri.
The ceremony is organized by a committee chaired by Senator Chris Anyanwu and co-chaired by Chief Cosmas Iwu, with the aim of ensuring a seamless and hitch-free event.
The Commissioner for Information and Strategy, Declan Emelumba says dignitaries across the country have been invited to the event, while supporters from across the 27 local government areas are also expected at the ceremony.
