In rejoinder to an open letter written by Jabir T Usman (see full text below) to Senator Lawal Adamu representing Kaduna Central in the Northwestern state, where-in Senator Lawal’s virtues and humanitarian demeanor were echoed, a response has also come in from Béllò Mûkhtár who wrote.

Distinguished Senator Lawal Adamu Usman is a loyal Peoples’ Democratic Party (PDP) member and respects its executives from Ward to National Headquarters and holds Senator Ahmad Muhammad Makarfi and His Excellency, Arch. Namadi Sambo GCON as distinguished individuals who give him fatherly counsel at all times.
Senator Lawal Adamu Usman does not believe in politics of hate, he has a forgiving soul which is why he is where he is today.
The Senator truly appreciates the statements from Jabir T. Usman and understands where he is coming from but, whenever an individual holds malice, that person may be trapped in hate and animosity and would not become anything now or in future.
Senator Usman, drops his political garb every moment he enters the hallowed chambers of the Senate and represents not only his Senatorial District, but Nigeria as a whole. For this reason, the Senator enjoys the love, admiration and cooperation of the leadership of the 10th Senate, especially His Excellency, the Senate President Godswill Akpabio GCON.
Such trait is what moves nations forward. Every great politician knows and respects his interests. Calling Senator Usman to the APC is not a bad idea especially if the author of the piece is from that political party. Nevertheless, he remains loyal to the Constitution of the Nigerian Federation, The Senate Ethics, Privileges and Rules and his political Party, the PDP. We may, however not know what tomorrow holds as I mentioned above. If his interests refer him to the APC, he may simply decamp in accordance with the Constitution of Nigeria and INEC Guidelines.
Mr. Jabir is greatly appreciated for his generous encomiums upon the Senator and is held in high esteem by Distinguished Senator Lawal Adamu Usman himself.

I am impressed by your love and passion for community service, and your desire to make an impact on the lives of the less privileged persons. That’s is why i deem it fit to write this open letter to you, regardless of our political inclination.
I believe you’re in the right position to tell the world about the persecution you suffered, in the pre and post 2023 general elections, as a senatorial candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP). It’s evident, you’re not the anointed candidate of the state party executives, owing to the hatred they have shown you trying truncate your candidacy right from the initial stage.
Distinguished Senator LA, it’s undisputable that you’re a senator today by “predestination”, through God’s intercession against the will of your antagonists; i.e the state PDP executives. Therefore, there is every tendency by them to plan a series of machinations to undermine your aspirations in the polity and subsequent electioneering. The ball is in your court to make a wise decision; with the power, influence, and the relevance you have gotten in the polity now that you emerged victorious!
Below is the crux of this letter:
•On a clarion call, first: it’s said a stitch in time saves nine! I admonish to you, henceforth, since God has bestowed this great position to you in the red chamber, you should collaborate with like minds against these tyrants in the PDP, in order to dethrone their proxies in the forthcoming party congress. If not, there is the tendency that those party excos that waged war against your candidature in 2023 general elections could be recycled as the party leaders! And if this happens, God forbid, your name is rest in peace.
Second, the PDP detests politics of intellectualism; the type of politics you’re advocating, they like their primitive politics of stomach infrastructure and confining the party to a platform of “Gerontocracy”. According to John Maxwell, “Successful people make right decisions early and manage those decisions daily”.
In the light of this, this is the right time for you to dislodge your allegiance to PDP and embrace the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC). Because, you don’t have prospect in PDP, it’s obvious the APC will befit you and enable you to achieve your full potential in politics.
Have you forgotten how the state party excos deliberately tried to alter the result of the primary election which led to your victory afterwards, just because one new contender came overnight with money; who extravagantly spent to spoil their minds? And this is despite your immense contributions to the party?
Have you forgotten the several court litigations, masterminded by some disgruntled elements within the PDP against your candidacy, which they didn’t relent to pursue, until after the recent court verdict in your favour?
Have you forgotten the persistent smear campaigns against your person, which some surreptitious gangs within the state excos sponsored on different media platforms?
In truth, you’re a politician who cares for the masses, that’s why you initiated a scholarship scheme to help the children of the poor, when the government exorbitantly increased the school fees of the Kaduna state owned tertiary institutions. You did the instead of buying luxury cars and share to the party excos, unlike the other unpatriotic politicians. This gesture ignited animosity between you and the party excos.
You didn’t involve the party excos in the management of the scholarship scheme, due to their corruption disposition which would have defeated the aim of the scheme. They would enrolled their cronies and families alone without actually extending it to the needy.
On a final note, it’s time you entered into a strong alliance with the former Vice President Namadi Sambo, in order to conquer former Governor Ahmed Makarfi as the navigator of the party structure in the state. He is the one holding the party to ransom in Kaduna state.
