A 62-year old man, Sunday Falana, popularly known as Sebukky in Aaye-Oja-Ekiti, Moba Local Government Area of Ekiti State has allegedly defiled the seven-year-old daughter of his neighbour at his residence in Ilegosi area of the community.

Our reporter gathered that the victim and her mother were at home on Saturday November the 25th 2023 at around 7:45pm when the incident occurred.
Narrating her ordeal while speaking with news men in Ado-Ekiti, the seven years old (name withheld), who is also a primary -2 pupil of St. John Anglican Primary school, Aaye Oja-Ekiti explained that the sexagenarian called her and her elder brother, Segun on saturday evening to come for cocked rice in his apartment, adding that he sent her brother back on the ground that he only invited her for the feast.
According to her, after she finished eating the rice, the man carried her and put her on the bed inside his room and removed her pant, while struggling to penetrate her private part.
When he could not, he opened his cupboard and brought out something creamy, which she he used to rob her private part before he had her canal knowledge.
The toddler explained that she was crying in the process, but the suspect cautioned her not to cry, stressing that she would d!e if she inform anyone.
“When I finished eating the rice “Sebukky” said I should go into his room, while he ordered me to remove my pant, but when I refused to do so, he removed the pant by himself and slept on me, when his manhood could not enter, he used one cream from his cupboard to rob my private part and started doing it. I cried! he warned me that I will d!e if I tell anyone”.
The victim’s mother, Funke Awolola in her account of the story said she was doing some domestic chores at home on that Saturday night, when his ten years old son Segun Awolola came home without seeing her Sister, Bidemi Awolola.
The mother demanded for the whereabout of his sister only to be told that she was with “Sebukky”, but when she expected her to return home and she didn’t come on time, she went straight to Sebukky’s house, but the man refused to open the door for them.
“At first, she refused to tell me. Later, she told me that Sebukky undressed her and defiled her. I was mad. She said he initially put his finger into her private parts but on that day, he inserted his manhood into her private part”.
The victim’s mother said the case was reported at the palace of the traditional ruler of the community, where it all attracted wide condemnation, and later reported at the Police Station in Otun-Ekiti.
When contacted, spokesman for the Ekiti State Police Command, DSP, Sunday Abutu said the suspect has been arrested and would be transferred to the Criminal Investigative Department at the Headquarters in Ado Ekiti.
