Nigerian Automobile Maker Innoson Vehicle Manufacturing (IVM), say it is recording very high patronage from the Nigerian Federal Government.
The company made the confirmation in a tweet on Wednesday night.
This is coming as a response to a tweet which claimed that the Federal Road Safety Corps, Federal Fire Service, Nigeria Police Force and the Nigerian Army all use Made-in-Nigeria vehicles from Innoson.

(The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) recently announced a partnership deal with IVM, which will see the company supply spare parts for jets conducting airstrikes against the insurgents ).
“The ingenious effort by IVM is instrumental to the continued operation of the Alpha Jets,” NAF spokesperson, Ayodele Famuyiwa, said of the deal.
“IVM helped to save the day when help was not forthcoming from abroad.”
However, the Federal Government has often been criticised for not patronising the local vehicle manufacturing company enough.
Earlier in February 2020, several Nigerians took to Twitter to express their displeasure over news that members of the House of Representatives had chosen to buy foreign cars as utility vehicles, ignoring local vehicle manufacturers like Innoson.
The lawmakers had resolved to purchase 400 units of Toyota Camry 2020 model.
But on Wednesday and Thursday, in what seemed a twist of fate Twitter was abuzz with commendations from Nigerians to the Federal Government for its recent patronage of the indiginous brand.
