The Ogun State Police Command has charged the Ex -Chairman of the Ijebu East Local Government Area of the State, Adewale Adedayo to court over false accusation against the state governor, Dapo Abiodun.

The Nigerian Police on monday evening, arrested Adedayo over an alleged petition written against him by the Ogun State Government and on Tuesday morning, he was charged to court over allegations of diverting funds meant for council areas in the state.
Adedayo was arrested at his residence in Ijebu Ife, Ijebu East Local Government Area of the state, and brought to the Police Command headquarters in Eleweran, Abeokuta where he’s to appear before a magistrate court at Isabo, Abeokuta.
Disclosing his arrest to the Public, Adedayo shared a post on his Facebook saying “Son of man is being taken to Ogun State Police CID at Eleweran, Abeokuta. They claim the State Government wrote a petition against me. If it is death, I follow the path of the Patriarchs. Ase di owo Olodumare (authority belongs to God)!,” he posted.
