Acting Executive Director, Finance and Administration, of the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC), Chief Ibanga Bassey, has died.
He is suspect to have died of food poisoning.
Sources say that his body has been moved to the Braithwaite Memorial Hospital, Port Harcourt, for possible autopsy.
His death is coming amid a forensic audit of the Commission ordered by President Muhammadu Buhari.
The National Assembly is also probing the finances of the Commission under its present Interim Management Committee.
The House of reps believes huge padding of budget was perpetrated in the commission.
