Prof Bogoro is a successful academician being a very senior professor and indeed, a professor of many professors. He has trained many students to become professors like himself. He’s a passionate expert in rapid educational growth and development. He’s a strong educational pillar today in Nigeria. He has worked in collaboration with various world organisations as a consultant, facilitator, coordinator, executive secretary etc. He’s an incorruptible public servant.
Suffice to say that, as the immediate past Executive Secretary of TETFUND, he led the rapid physical and structural growth and development visible in all tertiary institutions in the country. The FUND fully and effectively functioned as an educational intervention agency of the Federal Government of Nigeria and came to limelight.
New and standard Senate buildings, sophisticated lecture theatres, new students and staff accomodations, glorious Centres of Excellence in various educational institutions, Modern libraries and laboratories, up to date Logistics…etc were all made available to our schools. He brought about a general rapid improvements in the quality of learning environments taking it to the world standard.
On the structural aspect, lecturers, professors etc were sponsored and retrained thereby leading to the improvement in the quality of learning available across tertiary institutions. Some Nigerian universities were for the first time ranked among the first 500 Universities in the world, largely due to the massive and total standardisation of the tertiary institutions in the country undertaken by Prof Bogoro in TETFUND.
He is today nicknamed the Apostle of Research and Development in Nigeria due to his commitment towards the institutionalization of Research and Development, especially in tertiary institutions of learning in the country. He created the R & D Dept..at the FUND. He has all it takes to take effective charge of the Ministry of Education in the country today.
WHEN IT COMES TO PASSION AND COMMITMENT FOR THE RAPID GROWTH AND DEVELOPMENT IN THE EDUCATIONAL SECTOR IN NIGERIA, GIVE IT TO PROF BOGORO. HIS RECORDS ARE IN THE VISIBLE PUBLIC DOMAIN.
He’s also a community development expert and as a communal man, he has been bestowed with various traditional titles across the country too numerous to mention.
He is a man of his word and an excellent educational reform and development expert. He was appointed by two different Presidents into the same position as ES TETFUND in an UNPRECEDENTED manner for the first time in recent history.
Prof Bogoro is an excellent technocrat with full time experience in excellent public service delivery records. He is a recipient of various leadership awards by various organizations in the country. He believes that rapid growth and development should take place wherever needed, most especially in tertiary institutions of learning knowing fully well that the bedrock of the development of a nation is nothing more than sound and quality education to the citizens.
Himself being an active member of ASUU at some point, he has all the direct experience necessary to put the ASUU incessant strikes in the past and ensure timely running of our schools.
Thus, there’s no doubt that it’s in the overall best interests of all lovers of EDUCATIONAL growth and development as well as the stakeholders and the entire country that *Prof Bogoro becomes the next Minister of Education.*
