In an unexpected move, the Governor of Kaduna State Mallam Nasiru El Rufai personally took and enrolled his son in a public school in the state.
The Governor and his wife did this today while saying that if governments across board can improve on public school facilities and make them equally as good as the private schools then parents will see reasons to enroll their wards in Pubic Schools and get value for it.
The Governor said he enrolled Abubakar Al-Sadiqque his son to live by example and also to show his commitment to fixing the educational sector in the state.
Sharing photos from when he went to register his son in the school, El-Rufai via the official Kaduna governor Twitter handle, tweeted, “Reforming the Education sector in Kaduna is a continuing struggle against decades of neglect.”
This action according to experts in the education sector will set the stage for the elite in the society to feel the pains experience by majority of the people in Nigeria across sectors including Health and infrastructure that are currently at varying deplorable stages.
