Former Super Eagles player Yobo feels 34 year old derby county player “Rooney” should have been part of players to win highly rated awards in football competition.
Former Nigerian international and Everton defender Joseph Yobo says Wayne Roomey should Have been in the Ballon d’Or top three or the Fifa world player of the year.
Yobo who was suprised the Manchester United legend was snubbed by the award committee’s said in a live interview on instagram;
”Wayne Rooney, Great talent i played with him coming through the ranks of Everton and what this boy could do!”
”I am a little bit suprised he wasn’t always in the top three [Best Players] i was expecting Messi, Ronaldo, Rooney all through; Because he had that talent. He did;”
Joseph Yobo has enjoyed his time as a footballer, The 39 year old has featured in 3 world cup tournament for Nigeria. Since his retirement. He became a coach and was recently appointed as Nigerian assistant Coach.
