Governorship candidate of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), Sheriff Oborevwori has defeated his main rival, Ovie Omo-Agege to win the March 18, 2023 Governorship election.

Announcing the results, INEC Returning Officer, Prof Georgewill Owuneri declared that Oborevwori polled a total of 360, 234 to dust Omo-Agege who scored 240, 229 and the LP Candidate who polled 48,047.
Intriguingly, the APC governorship candidate grabbed 240, 229 votes in just four local government areas of the state, while the PDP Candidate won in 21 LGAs with 360,234.
