The United States Government has raised the alarm over risk of terror attacks in some strategic parts of Nigeria, especially in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Abuja.

The US Mission in Nigeria, on Sunday, issued a security advisory, pointing out that there may be terror attacks in the country.
In the security advisory released by its Embassy, Abuja, the US Government listed some targets of possible attacks, particularly in the FCT.
“There is an elevated risk of terror attacks in Nigeria, specifically in Abuja.

“Targets may include, but are not limited to, government buildings, places of worship, schools, markets, shopping malls, hotels, bars, restaurants, athletic gatherings, transport terminals, law enforcement facilities and international organisations,” The statement read.
To avoid be targets of terror attacks, the US Mission In Nigeria advised residents to take actions by avoiding all non-essential travel or movement and staying alert and avoiding crowds.
