A former Vice-President, Atiku Abubakar, has emerged the Peoples Democratic Party presidential candidate for the 2023 election.

He emerged after a keenly contested primary held at Moshood Abiola National Stadium, Abuja, on Saturday.
Nyesom Wike picked up a total of 237 votes while Atiku Abubakar won with a total of 373 votes.
