A yet to be identified student of the Shehu Shagari College of Education in Sokoto State has been beaten to death and burnt by an angry mob for allegedly criticizing Prophet Muhammed.

According to reports shared on Twitter, the incident occured on Thursday.
In the gory video shared on Twitter, some men could be seen beating the student, who laid lifelessly on the ground, with sticks and stones.
She was also covered with tyres and subsequently burnt.

Confirming the incident, the school management announced the closure of its campus and ordered the students to vacate with immediate effect.
