It’s been widely reported that fuel is selling in the South-West state between N200 and N250 per litre, especially at night. Daily Trust reported that this has pushed commercial motorists to increase fares by 100 per cent on intra and inter-state routes.
Addressing reporters on Sunday February 27, the State Commandant of NSCDC, Adarelewa Michael Akintayo reiterated the readiness of the corps to sanction erring fuel stations.
Akintayo noted some marketers were taking undue advantage of the present fuel scarcity in the country to jerk up the pump price.
