Nigeria’s Super Eagles has moved up four places to 32nd position in the latest ranking released on Thursday by FIFA.
Despite dropping out of the just concluded Africa Cup of Nations in Cameroon, Nigeria’s Super Eagles have pushed up in latest February 2022 FIFA ranking.

The three-African champions are also now the third best team in Africa behind newly crowned AFCON champions the Terangha Lions and the Atlas Lions of Morocco.
Nigeria is currently placed third on the continent, and 32nd globally, according to ranking released Thursday morning, four days after AFCON 2021 ended in Cameroon.
The West Africans won all three group matches against Egypt, Sudan and Guinea-Bissau at the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations in Cameroon.

Austine Eguavoen’s side however crashed out in the second round after going down to a 1-0 defeat to the Carthage Eagles of Tunisia.
The Super Eagles were ranked 36th and fifth best team in Africa heading to competition but still moved up in the ranking despite their exit in Cameroon.
Algeria and Tunisia, who were ranked higher than the Super Eagles in the world and on the continent had a dismal campaign at AFCON 2021.

Newly crowned African Champions Senegal remains 1st and 18th in the world.
Morocco is now placed 2nd (Africa) and 24th (globally).
Egypt (34th) and Tunisia (36th) in fourth and fifth positions respectively complete current top five in the continent.
Belgium, Brazil and France are topping global ranking in the first, second and third places respectively.
