A video has emerged of West Ham centre-back Kurt Zouma kicking and punching his cat. The defender was seek drop-kicking and then slapping the animal, with laughter in the background.

It is believed that his brother Yoan filmed the video and uploaded it to Snapchat, which led to it going viral after the video was circulated by The Sun.
The Royal Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (RSPCA) criticised Zouma‘s actions and labelled the video “upsetting“.

“It is never acceptable to kick, hit or slap an animal, for punishment or otherwise,” an RSPCA statement said.
“We are so grateful to people who report suspected animal suffering to us and we would like to reassure people we will always look into and, if necessary, investigate any complaints made to us about animal welfare.”
According to Sky Sports, however, the Met Police have decided not to investigate the video.
