Training was adjusted to individual and non-contact sessions outdoors for those who returned negative tests.
The Premier League has been notified of the outbreak, but Tuesday’s game away against Brentford might be canceled as a result.
Ralf Rangnick was due to oversee a group training session on Sunday but the outbreak meant it could not take place as planned.
Instead, the side were only able to complete individual non-contact outdoor sessions, with the individuals who tested positive sent home beforehand.
Aston Villa also had one positive Covid-19 case in their playing squad, leading to a recovery session at the club’s Bodymoor Heath training ground on Sunday being cancelled.
Other clubs like Manchester city and Brentford have been hit by outbreaks of the disease.
