Armed robbers on Monday raided a commercial bank in Aramoko Ekiti, the headquarters of the Ekiti West Local government area of Ekiti State, killing at least three people and injuring others.
Control TV News gathered that the armed robbers stormed Wema bank, at about 5 pm, shooting sporadically in the air.

During the operation, a police officer, a road safety officer and a civilian lost their lives.
An eye witness who spoke to us under the condition of anonymity said;
“The robbers forced their way into the banking hall with dynamite and carted away a huge amount of money in ‘Ghana must go bag,’”
Private car owners and public transport drivers travelling across Ado-Iyin-Aramoko-Efon road had to take a detour to prevent being caught in the fracas.
The Police Public Relations Officer, Mr Sunday Abutu, while confirming the robbery incident said the deceased were shot outside the bank premises.
He also stressed that efforts are ongoing to apprehend the perpetrators and bring them to justice.
