Youths in Ijaye and several other areas in Lagos have taken laws into their hands to protect landlords and tenants from invasion by hoodlums in search of food to eat.
The Youth say the Lockdown order is the reason why the hoodlums are attacking them in broad daylight.
One of the hoodlums was killed by the youths in the process of repelling the attackers in Ijaye. Videos on Social media are currently trending on how people in Ijaye, Alagbado, Agege, Ogba; worst hit areas bear the brunt with tweets like #LagosUnrest trending on Twitter.

Ijaye in particular has seen an upsurge in crime with no security or police in the streets to protect lives and property.
Control TV gathered that hoodlums break into peoples houses in the day time making away with what they can especially food. While one of such incidents recorded a death and several others injured, others in other areas are reported to be worst.

The youths are now forced to stay guard day and night to protect themselves.
Efforts to reach the police Public Relations officer have proved abortive.
