In the meantime the deputy Governor of the state has rejected the NCDC confirmed COVID-19 cases in the state which the agency puts at 8.
The Deputy Governor while speaking in Bauchi explained that there must have been a mix up of the results and reports by the NCDC on the number of confirmed cases in the state.
The NCDC soon issued a statement after the Bauchi authorities raise the observation to which the NCDC crosschecked its tally and discovered it had made a mistake in its summation of numbers of coronavirus cases in the state.
The NCDC has since apologised and corrected the mistake.
Bauchi state now has 6 confirmed cases of COVID-19.
