While many thought Tordue Salem was kidnapped and eventually killed on Friday, the Nigerian police force apprehended and paraded a 29 years old Commercial driver with plate number BWR-243BK named Itoro Clement, an indigene of Akwa Ibom state for being responsible for the death of the Vanguard reporter.

Recall that the body of late Salem was found on Thursday 11th of November 2021 more than a month after he was declared missing.
The suspect when paraded claimed that he thought the late journalist was an armed robber according to him he was being chased by some unknown men when he ran into him along Mabuchi Road.
When Asked why he failed to report the case to the nearest police station he said.
“honestly speaking I was told to report myself at Useh Police station but out of fear I didn’t go.
