Police authorities in Kaduna state have purportedly repelled an attack by a group of bandits who have fled into the forests close to the Abuja-Kaduna highway, with many of them sustaning various degrees of gunshot injuries.
The police command, there has urged members of the public to be vigilant and immediately report any suspicious person seen with wounds, for immediate arrest.
The command’s Public Relations Officer Muhammad Jalige, in a statement made available to control TV news, revealed that her top cop Mudassiru Abdullahi led operations and foiled an attempted kidnapping Spree along the Kaduna-Abuja Road as many of the maurauders fled with bullet wounds.
He explained that the resellience and doggeness exhibited by men and officers during the onslaught was exemplary and would for sure serve as a morale booster for other operatives to emulate in their unrelenting effort to restore public confidence in line with the mandate of Inspector General of Police IGP Alkali Baba Usman.
“The CP thereafter charged officers manning various nipping points along the highway to be ruthless on the bandits so as to change the security profile of the road for better.”
“The CP also called on adjoining communities to report any person found with a suspected gunshot wound to the nearest Police formation,” he said.
