The former chairman of the Abia State Council of Traditional Rulers, Eze Bernard Enweremadu, is dead.
Enweremadu, a notable businessman and traditional leader, was aged 77.

Reacting to the news of Enweremadu’s demise, President Muhammadu Buhari, condoled with the family after paying tribute to the deceased.
The statement signed by media aide, Femi Adesina read; “The President joins people and Government of Abia State, Abia State Council of Traditional Rulers, and associates, in mourning the revered Ngwa paramount ruler, who served the state and nation in many capacities, leaving a legacy of fairness and charity.“

President Buhari notes the sacrifices of Sir Enweremadu to his community, leaving his engagements in Lagos to take up the responsibility of becoming custodian of culture and tradition at 33, and remaining faithful to the calling of his people until the final call at 77.
“As the family, community, state and nation mourn the departed royal father, President Buhari urges an approximation of his good works and service to humanity.”
