Governor Yahaya Bello has again challenged the media and especially writing Journalist to sanitize their profession saying the upcoming practitioners must be bold enough to stand up in truth against establish organisations who are often found in compromised ethical positions against genuine politicians in skewed reportage.

In his opening remarks at the Nigeria Media Merit Awards Grand Annual Presentation finale in Lokoja the Kogi state capital Governor Yahaya Bello challenged the media saying the NMMA should consider giving awards to fake news peddelers as a way of shaming them for defarmation as is done in other climes.
While delivering his speech he categorically said fake news must be stoped by all means considering the damage it has done or is doing to innocent establishments and governments.
Speaking further he said his administration has come to solve problems and give accelerated attention to development of Kogi state as he also mentioned some notable projects which can also be found on www.kogipedia.com.
Some of the notable projects and interventions in the central senatorial zone include the Reference Hospital in Okene as well as the New Edifice the Palace of His Royal Highness, The Ohinoyi Of Ebira land.

He said it’s important for the immediate to be guided by National interest for the good of Nigeria.
Ahead of the 2023 election Governor Yahaya Bello Cautioned on who should lead the country after President Muhammadu Buhari… said Security, Diversity, Equity among others as criteria’s that must be looked at by Nigerians in selecting the next president.
He concluded by asking the media to maintain high level of professionalism saying he presents himself the essential one to all.
