The Court of Appeal sitting in Abuja has ordered a stay of execution on the ruling of the FCT High Court suspending Adams Oshiomhole as National Chairman of the APC.
The court’s panel headed by Justice Idris ruled that the former Governor of Edo State should remain the chairman of the ruling party.
Oshiomhole had filed an application at the appellate court seeking a stay of execution on the suspension.
Before he secured the judgement today, the Federal High Court in Kano had also ruled that Oshiomhole should remain the Chairman of the party.
Recall that the National leader of the APC, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu had defended Oshiomhole in a statement on Sunday. He said those who want him out had caught the 2023 virus and don’t want the good of the party.
Meanwhile, the APC National Executive Council meeting slated for Tuesday, March 17th has been suspended after a meeting between Governors of the APC and President Muhammadu Buhari at the state house, Abuja.
