The Benue state Government says it will Prioritise the States Anti Open Grazing Law if it must implement the National Livestock Transformation Plan NLTP by the federal government.
Chief Press Secretary, Mr Terve Akase said this on Harvest FM Radio where he explained that the NLTP conflicts with the states Ranching law.
” The state government has asked the drafters of the plan to expunge some areas in the document which do not conform to the Benue state ranching law”.
” There are plans by the Ortom administration to establish ranches which will serve as models to those who intend to go into livestock Breeding”
On the 100 days of Governor Ortom’s administration, Akase said huge success has been recorded such as; the completion of Origbo – Imande – Akpur – Gbajimba Road, Ahmadu Bello Way, Gboko, Armstrong Avenue and commercial roads in Otukpo, Taraku – Naka Road, Agatu – Oshigbudu – Obagaji Road and Zaki Biam – Gbeji roads.
Other projects include- Government Girls Model Secondary School and School for the Handicap, Aliade among others were renovated”.
Akase said that there are many projects ongoing in the state and urged the good people of Benue to support the administration.
Governor Ortom has promised to leave a legacy in the state.
