A residential home of Osun State Commissioner of Police, Olawale Olokode, in Abeokuta was recently consumed by fire, destroying properties worth millions of naira.
The fire which started on Sunday night lasted for about two hours before it was put off through the efforts of neighbours and fire fighters.

The Commissioner, through the force spokesperson in Osun, Yemisi Opalola, said no life was lost nor injury sustained during the inferno.
He then thanked all who contributed in one way or the other to ensure that the fire was put off.
“The Osun State Police Command appreciates His Excellency, the Executive Governor of Osun State, Mr Gboyega Oyetola, CP Eward Ajogun Awolowo, Area Commander Abeokuta metropolis and everyone for sympathizing with the Commissioner of Police.”
“The Officers and men of Osun State Police Command commiserate with the CP and the entire family and described the incident as unfortunate and pathetic. It is the Command’s prayer and hope that, the Almighty God replenish the loss in hundred folds,” the statement read.
