Embattled yoruba movie star, Olanrewaju Omiyinka popularly known as Baba Ijesha who was arrested and detained by the Lagos State Police after he was caught on CCTV footage molesting a minor, was denied bail by the magistrate court on wednesday in lagos.
During the trial on Wednesday, Kayode olabirin, his counsel pleaded with the court to grant baba Ijesha bail, citing his health condition. His plea however, fell on deaf ears.

In his ruling, P. E Nwaka, the judge, held that the court could not grant the actor bail because the matter is beyond its jurisdiction, as the case has already been filed before the high court.
The decision has however sparked mixed reactions on social media.
Some supporters of the Yoruba actor are displeased at the verdict, blaming the court for failing to consider the state of his health, while others applauded the Court’s decision saying Baba Ijesha case would serve as a lesson to others.
