There was pandemonium in Ijero Ekiti, Ekiti State as over a hundred students of the College of Health Technology were hospitalized within and outside the town.
This happened following an unauthorized fumigation of the school environment by government officials in a bid to prevent covid-19.

According to report, some of the students hospitalized were said to be asthmatic patients who developed complication after inhaling the chemical used for the fumigation.
Those with critical conditions were said to have been rushed to the Federal Teaching Hospital, Ido Ekiti.
Control TV correspondent in Ado- Ekiti gathered that most of the students admitted into the General Hospital, Ijero-Ekiti have started responding to treatments.

Meanwhile, some parents in Ijero Ekiti have called on the state government to beef up security around the college following the invasion of some hoodlums who stormed the college vandalizing cars and properties in the process.
