Covid-19: Nigeria Records 26 New Cases, No Deaths As Infection Hits 164,233

Confirmed cases of Covid-19 has increased to 164,233 as 26 new cases and no deaths were recorded in Nigeria on Sunday, 19th of April 2021.

Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) in its daily update on Coronavirus, said 154,332 cases have been discharged and 2,061 deaths have been recorded in 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory of the country.

According to NCDC, the new cases are reported from 7 states, having Ebonyi having the highest with 10 new cases.

A further breakdown shows that Lagos has 9, FCT-2, Kano-2, Osun-2, Oyo-1.

Meanwhile, a multi-sectoral national emergency operations centre (EOC), activated at Level 3, continues to coordinate the national response activities.
