A Chinese expatriate has been kidnapped in Irepodun,Ifelodun LGA, Ekiti State, Southwest region, Nigeria and his whereabouts is yet to be ascertained by security agencies.
The expatriate who was identified to be part of the experts supervising the construction of Ilupeju-Ire-Igbemo-Ijan road, was said to have been waylaid at Igbemo Ekiti while driving in a Hilux Van and forcefully taken away by the gunmen.

The Police Public Relations Officers, Ekiti Command, Sunday Abutu, while confirming the incidentsaid the operatives of Rapid Response Squad, RRS, have launched a manhunt for the kidnappers.
He said: “Our RRS men swung into action immediately the news broke out. They are combing all the surrounding bushes and we are sure that the abductee will be released soon”.
