Following his arrest by the Department of State Services (DSS) on Friday, Governor Abdullahi Ganduje has fired his special adviser on media, Salihu Tanko Yakasai, for criticising President Muhammadu Buhari over worsening insecurity in the country.
According to reports, mr. Tanko-Yakasai, A.K.A ‘Dawisu’, was sacked on Saturday morning.
The announcement came hours after speculations of Mr. Tanko-Yakasai’s arrest by the SSS gripped the nation, prompting widespread condemnation of President Muhammadu Buhari.

The aide had on Friday lashed out at Mr. Buhari and the ruling APC for their respective failures to address widespread insecurity across Nigeria via Twitter.
In his words, he said;
“Clearly, we as APC government, at all levels, have failed Nigerians in the number 1 duty we were elected to do which is to secure lives & properties,” he tweeted.
“Not a single day goes by without some sort of insecurity in this land. This is a shame! Deal with terrorists decisively or resign.”
