Lagos Data Excluded As NCDC Confirms 864 Fresh Cases, 3 New Deaths In Nigeria

The record of COVID-19 across Nigeria has increased with 864 new cases confirmed in 23 states and the FCT, Abuja.

Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC), via its daily update, gave the new record on Thursday, January 28, 2021.

The unit through its daily report showed that the country reached a total of 127,024 cases.

The data released by NCDC showed that 3 persons were recorded dead, leading to a total number of 1,547.

In its record, Abuja had the highest number of new cases as 129 individuals tested positive, while Anambra had a record of 87 and then Rivers, 82.

While Benue recorded 80, Oyo 76, Plateau 61, Kaduna 54, Delta 51, Nasarawa 38, Kwara 36.

Edo had a record of 32, Katsina 26, Kano 24, Taraba 18, Ogun 14, Sokoto 11, Gombe 10, Jigawa 7.

Also, Akwa Ibom and Cross Rivers had a similar record of 6, Zamfara and Bauchi had 5 but Osun recorded 4 and had a recorded Ekiti 2.

This record has brought the nation to a total number of 127,024 confirmed cases, 100,853 discharged, and 1,547 deaths.

Without stating its reason, the centre for disease control stated: “Today’s report does not include data from Lagos State”.
