The Independent National Electoral Commission INEC has declared the Kogi West senatorial elections inconclusive.
It said it will soon announce a date for supplementary election where 20 RA’s 23 polling units affected. Senator Smart Adeyemi (APC) leads in the election polling 80,111 while Senator Dino Melaye (PDP) polled 59,548 votes before INEC announce the election as inconclusive.

The Electoral Umpire said the reason for the rerun and why it declared the election inconclusive is because the marging of lead between the two candidates is lower than the number of votes.
