Travellers out of Lagos have spent the New Year in a traffic gridlock on the Kara Bridge outward the nations commercial hub.
Distant pictures of the minute into the new year showed that some of the travellers were shooting fireworks into the air on the bridge.
As at 12:40am on the first of January 2021 the popular “Banga” could be hear and seen from miles away.
Many have said on social media that the year 2020 has seen the toughest of times for them and one way to put that behind them especially the pandemic is to blow the Banga and their problems away while starting out on a new slate.
