The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) on Sunday night announced 418 new COVID-19 infections, which takes the total number of confirmed cases in the country to 73,175.
NCDC reports that the new cases were recorded in 16 States of the Federation and FCT.
NCDC said Lagos State recorded the highest cases of the day with 113 confirmed infections.
Others states are; FCT (86), Abia (47), Kaduna (39), Rivers (27), Katsina (22), Benue (14), Oyo (13), Kano (12), Enugu (8), Edo (7), Imo (7), Bauchi (6), Ebonyi (6), Ogun (6), Ondo (4), and Nasarawa (1).
“Our discharges today include 74 community recoveries in Kaduna State, 49 in Lagos State, 29 in Abia State and 20 in Plateau State managed in line with guidelines.”
It also confirmed that 3 persons died from the covid-19 virus while 240 persons were said to have recovered and have been discharged from various isolation centres across the country on Sunday.
Currently, Nigeria’s COVID-19 cases stand at 73,175; 66,090 recoveries and 1,197 deaths.
