Full electricity has been restored to most part of Nigeria after over 18hours of outage.
Reports reaching Control TV News Desk Say that electricity which has been down from the early hours of Sunday has been restored to near full capacity.
The Ski Electricity Distribution Company EKEDC had reported a national failure from the national grid throwing the entire country into darkness.
Businesses who operate skeletally on Sundays were forced to shut down in Lagos or East the alternative of fueling their generators.
It’s not the first time that the country will witness total blackout as a result of the electricity being down from the national grid. In the year 2020 the national grid had failed the most recent being on the 9th of November 2019 and 16th January 2020.
Many are begining to question why the National grid should fail repeatedly after so much is spent on the grid. Alternative power sources seems to be the clamour for many who are already resorting to independent solar and wind sources to power homes and businesses.
Nigeria currently produces between 0 and 7000 mega watts of electricity making it one of the lowest producers and distributor of electricity in Africa.
