The Lekki Concession Company (LCC) says it has submitted video footage recorded by its surveillance camera at Lekki toll gate on the night of October 20.
LCC Managing Director Abayomi Omomuwa submitted the video footage on Tuesday to the judicial panel of inquiry set up by the Lagos State Government to probe the Lekki shooting as well as complaints of human rights abuses against members of the disbanded Special Anti-Robbery Squad.
“I can confirm that inside here is the video footage that our surveillance camera was able to record for the 20th of October,” Mr Omomuwa told the panel.
He, however, noted that the surveillance cameras stopped recording around 8pm due to interference with the network.
“It stopped recording around 8pm,” he said.
An eyewitness live Instagram video had shown men in military uniform opening fire at #EndSARS protesters gathered at Lekki toll gate on the fateful day.
