The Lagos Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu has made an assessment of the Oba of Lagos palace following it ransacking by thugs.
Recall, some thugs on Wednesday 21st October, stormed the Palace of the Oba of Lagos located at Iga Idugaran, Lagos Island, vandalising vehicles and carting away several artefacts.
In a video which has gone viral on the Internet, the thugs were seen making away with the staff of office commonly referred to as ‘Opa Ase’.
The whole palace was scattered and in disarray.
All the artifacts at the palace were down.
The Chairman of Lagos Island East council, Kamal Salau-Bashau considered the attack an absolute desecration
“It was a simultaneous attack. It goes beyond what we can see and investigations are currently going to unravel the truth,” Salau-Bashua said.
The Erelu of Lagos, Princess Sherifat Dosunmu asserted that it was a coordinated attack.
She stated that the hoodlums dishonoured the ancestors and would be dealt with.
