Youths in two northern states; Bauchi and Niger have staged a protest at the end of the week demanding better roads and electricity in their states.
The youths in Bauchi under the ages Coalition of Northern Groups (CNG) staged the protest on Thursday morning to demand an end to insecurity, poor road infrastructure, and epileptic power supply asking the Government to fix them as a matter of urgency.
They welcomed the Special Weapons And Tactics (SWAT) team saying it is in a better position to tackle various forms of security threats such as killings, banditry, kidnapping, rape, and including the terrorist group’ Boko Haram’ in the region if they are fully equipped and trained.
The youths in Niger state on their part lament what they call death traps not roads to describe the state of roads in their state. They say things must change for the better to avoid a revolt against the government.

“This peaceful protest is not against any movement, it is not against any government, we are here to only show our grievances that as Nigerians we are not enjoying what we should enjoy’’ says the lead youth representative.
They speak in one voice urging the Federal government to fix all its roads and address the issue of power supply in the entire northern states.
The youths who marched to the government house and the police headquarters to press home their demands insist that enough is enough.
