Oby Ezekwesili a former presidential candidate has debuncked reports that the Central Bank of Nigeria blocked the account of fintech company Flutterwave.
Authorities of the organisation had reported today that the Apex bank in a bid to stop its sustained 3days of protest against the activities of SARS by way of support in fund raising froze it’s account.
Flutterwave had embarked on crowdfunding and other support to help the #EndSARS victims, which become the go-to place for protesters in a dire situation or distress.
However, Mrs Ezekwesili, while clarifying the report through her verified tweeter account stated that she was happy it isn’t the case.
“#Update I could not imagine such lowliest of lowliest actions against one of our top FinTech @theflutterwave companies entirely built by our young generation who don’t need the usual government patronage to thrive,” she wrote.
“I said Naaaa. It cannot be. Glad to see that it is not true.”
