Heavy rain on Saturday has delayed voting in some parts of Akure, including Isikan, where the Peoples Democratic Party candidate Eyitayo Jegede is waiting to vote.
Mr Jegede and his wife Eno had arrived at Sacred Heart Primary School, ward 2 unit 10, Isikan, around 9 am and joined other voters in the queue.
The rain began about 20 minutes after his arrival.

The front runners of this Saturday’s poll are incumbent Governor Rotimi Akeredolu of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Eyitayo Jegede of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and the state incumbent Deputy Governor, Agboola Ajayi of the Zenith Labour Party.
