The University Of Lagos [UNILAG] Governing council led by its Recently appointed chairman John Momoh has affirmed Prof. Folasade Ogunsola as the acting vice-chancellor of the institution.
The Acting VC ‘Ogunsola’ who was elected on Monday by the university’s senate was appointed on Tuesday during a virtual meeting of the governing council.
Professor Ogunsola broke a deadlock of 58 years by becoming the University’s becoming the first female to be appointed as an acting VC of the institution since it was founded in 1962.
Also, the panel appointed by the visitor President Muhammadu Buhari will be inaugurated in Abuja on Wednesday to look into the crisis at the varsity and the report indicting former vice-chancellor Prof Oluwatoyin Ogundipe.
