The Department of State Security (DSS) has issued a fresh invitation to a former deputy governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria Obadiah Mailaifa for further discussions.
Mailafia was first arrested less than a week ago after a viral video on the state of security regarding to Boko Haram and terrorism in the north.
The Former Deputy Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria, On Wednesday was grilled by the Department of State Services (DSS) For 6 hours with intense questioning.
His lawyer Bawa Ba told The Nation that Mr Mailaifa is expected at the DSS office in Jos, Plateau State by noon on Monday, August 17.
He said it “was a buildup to the previous one”.
Mailaifa was at the DSS office last Wednesday following his comments on radio that a northern governor was the commander of Boko Haram fighters.
The radio station, Nigeria Info, was fined N5million by the Nigeria Broadcasting Commission (NBC) for his comments deemed as hate speech.
