Juventus have sacked Maurizio Sarri following their Champions League exit at the hands of Lyon, with official confirmation expected to be released by the Bianconeri on Saturday.
Italian football journalist Fabrizio Romano tweeted on Saturday afternoon: “BREAKING – Juventus has sacked Maurizio Sarri. Official statement soon. They’ll go for a new manager.”

This development is coming hours after Juventus were eliminated from the Champions League against Lyon, winning the second leg 2-1 in Turin, but crashing out on the away-goal rule.
Juve had suffered defeat during the first game in France, held almost six months ago before a Memphis Depay penalty left them with a mountain to climb early on at the Allianz Stadium.
